A dramatic comedy, Love & Marriage is an intimate portrait of the joy and heartbreak of relationships—where love is sometimes not enough and sometimes it’s the only thing that matters.
Love & Marriage was written by Ryan McSwain and Mike Akins, members of Texas High Plains Writers. Ryan McSwain writes weird fiction, with several published short stories and one novel, Monsters All the Way Down. He stays at home with his two kids, which is a far stranger experience than anything he’s written. Newlywed Mike Akins writes fantasy and sci-fi. He's in the process of finishing his third novel, Cheating Death. In-between writing and work, Mike teaches self-defense training.
Nationally recognized Youngblood's Cafe is the venue for our dinner theatre fundraising event. Youngblood's has a casual atmosphere, so there's no need to get all gussied up. Homestyle Texas fare will be served buffet style and is included in the price of your ticket.
In addition to a delicious meal and great entertainment, we will be having a silent auction. You will be able to bid on the items before dining and after the play.
